Before I was a full-time artist I was a writer for places like the NYTimes and NBC. Did you know that? It was a blessing I didn’t appreciate at the time. š (Like most of my blessings!)
One of the things I wrote about was relationships, including a five-year stint writing about friendship. That I got paid for that gig still amazes me, because I felt like in every column I just shared the principles that Jesus taught me. The column I wrote was secular, but as we know God doesn’t always need His name and words attached to be present and at work. He is in everything.
The ironic part was that out of all the posts I did for major media sources, the one that got the most traction is this one that I posted quickly (and almost without thought) on my personal blog. It started because I got a question from someone on how I dealt with people who hurt me. This post still gets a lot of views, especially at this time of year.
