Ackward Prayers

"Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." - Max Lucado [Read More]

I Hope These Paintings Inspire You

July 17, 2020 Leave a Comment

I wrote my book Painting the Psalms as a way to present the beauty of the Psalms in a new way, one that would keep you focused on faith and inspire you. The book was one of my favorites to create. I hope you'll check it out. [Read More]

Birds and What They Mean to Us

April 1, 2020 Leave a Comment

We had an interesting discussion in our craft booth a while back about birds and what they mean to us. ? ? ?  I believe God uses many things to communicate with us and help us feel loved and protected. I have always been fascinated with birds and have drawn them for years. Their variety and [Read More]

Even In This, God Is Here

Not long ago I had a downed website, which was so very frustrating. And in light of the world's problems, this type of technical issue can't compare. And yet, it's personal to me, it was costing me money and causing me to disappoint people. I was upset and feeling helpless. So I'm reminded of [Read More]

In the Morning, Lord

March 18, 2020 Leave a Comment

The mornings have meaning, don't they? The start of a new day... the promise of what the next 24 hours holds... and just the thought that you can go to bed at night and put your troubles away because in the morning the sun will rise and your situation may look differently. I like the thought of [Read More]

Cherie Burbach's writing is surprisingly vivid, this being her debut attempt. She can take you inside the character's mind within a span of words, all the things they're struggling with put bare before you. The prose isn't flowery, but gentle enough to nudge you into relating your traumas too, and heal as the characters do.

Loved learning more about art, and the community surrounding the people in the book. Couldn't wait for the next chapter and following the women in this story. I am hoping the author has a second book in mind, to continue the journey of Jane and Grace. I would recommend this to book clubs, so they could meet and discuss what they read and what they think will happen next.

The Space Between Dreaming is a moving novel written with warmth and heart and which contains valuable wisdom. I loved that the work tackles difficult topics about childlessness, childhood trauma, and betrayal by friends with sensitivity. It tenderly captures the social and emotional toll of being childless. I loved the main characters and found them to be realistic and engaging. The work masterfully explores the themes of friendships and relationships, drawing important lessons that can be applied in real life. The inclusion of art and the process of painting also enhance the story. Cherie Burbach's unforgettable novel will resonate with readers for its applicable themes and compelling characters. Fans of women's novels will love it.
