Psalm 22:1-2 says:
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, but I find no rest.

If you’ve ever thought that God was ignoring you, think about this Psalm. David prayed this during his life, and since we don’t have an exact incident to tie it to, we don’t know the circumstances, but we can certainly RELATE, can’t we? Oh God, where are you?
There are times when we are confused about God’s work in our lives, but we do know He hears us and that He is ALWAYS at work. He never leaves us.
God says “no” sometimes. He is answering our prayers, but not in the way we always want or understand. In the most challenging circumstances in life, we can take comfort that Jesus referred to this psalm during His crucifixion. God said “no” to Jesus when he asked Him to take this burden from him, and we see through Jesus’ behavior that when told “no” he gloried God and did as He asked. Since He obeyed, WE now have eternel life.
