This world can be difficult.
We endure hardships, we suffer, and often, the people around us (even those we love) do not help. It can be hard to see hope, let alone BE HOPE for someone else. In this verse from Matthew 5:14, Jesus is assuring us that in HIM we have that hope, we ARE that light. All because of him. It does not fall on our shoulders, it comes from the spirit that he placed in our hearts.
Today, remember that the Holy Spirit lives inside you. It cannot be hidden. Be free to let it shine.
