The new Pantone Color of the Year is Viva Magenta, which I am delighted about! I’ve been painting with this influence for years because of it’s vibrancy and warmth. Pantone says the color is “expressive of a new signal of strength” and that they drew “inspiration from nature and what is real” to develop this shade, originating from the red family.
I am on board with all of that. When we think sometimes of the natural world, we imagine greens and browns, but nature involves so many different things like birds, butterflies, and flowers. š·
