I saw a quote the other day in my Bible study, which said: “Redemption is when the pain is treated and turned around so thoroughly that it not only loses its power to do you harm but also gains the power to do some good.”
People ask me all the time how I could have experienced the things I have and still live a joyful life. I don’t have my head in the sand. I’m not a naturally smiley person, but God’s spirit has changed me. We all have our own walk with pain and faith and all I can tell you is that when you allow God to help you forgive, your world changes for the better. It doesn’t make what the other did okay, but you don’t need to worry about that because He handles that. It might not even be this side of heaven where He’ll do it, but He will.
You can give it to God and free yourself from the anger and resentment that come with arrogant, selfish, childish people who treat you poorly, abuse you, steal from you, and push you down. You can be the person God intended for you to be.
