Love God, first. Then, you can love others the way you need to. If we love others first, it means we can drift. We can take advice from people who love us but perhaps aren’t listening. We can put ourselves first. We can forget what real love is supposed to look like.
When we love God first, He leads us. He shows us solutions, shows us a path to take, helps us when things get hard. When we love God first He gives us eternal life, of course, but He also leads us in this one.
