Martin Luther King Day was last month, but I wanted to share a few thoughts.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s in Milwaukee. Racial tensions were high, people misunderstood things. And hate was allowed to exist openly and freely. Desegregation was just starting in the schools that I attended. It left a huge impact on me and how I wanted to treat and interact with my brothers and sisters in this world and in Christ.
Martin Luther King has been such a huge influence on me, I believe that we still have so much work to do and we can look to his teachings and his mission to help us get where we need to go.
