I always create paintings from my imagination. I do not paint to be exact or even to reflect things as they are. I paint as I see them, which for me is in a world of possibility, somewhere beyond this world.
That means sometimes people will look at my animal and flower paintings and wonder why they aren’t “exact.” LOL! Perhaps my “Peacock” painting is one of those.
When I think of the peacock, I picture the male with his feathers stretched wide. While the female is beautiful in her own right, the male peacock is filled with color and an attitude that represents pride. He’s an amazing creature to behold, and he knows it.
