A few years ago I started filming my art projects, and it has been a fun way to show what all goes into my mixed media paintings.
The making of “Love and Prayer” happened during a very sad time for me. My best friend had died and I still, two a half years later, really get it through my head that she is gone. It was hard for me to work on this picture. It seemed so trivial in light of the loss of my friend, and yet now, a couple years later, seeing this brings me joy because it helps me remember her. Even in sadness, God provides light.
This image was created with acrylics, oil pastel, inks, gelatos, paper, and other ephemera. An art print is available here.
