I’m still adding canvases to my little “mini canvas decorating project” (you can see the rest of these posts here) and changed the way I did them up. I’ve decided to include scrapbook type elements like old cards or portions of letters. I like seeing handwriting from the people I care about. It makes me feel good. So for this round I added canvases that contained cute cards and notes, like these couple from my aunt. She makes the most adorable cards!
She sent us this one when we moved into our new home:
So I made a copy of her note and cut it up, putting different lines from her letter along the edges of the canvas.
Then I put the front of that adorable card on a canvas. Here it is hung up, right above my desk:
The words and other pieces of the canvas are along the edge. I had a lines of her card leftover, and added those to the canvas, like the one that says “God is blessing you both.” That’s too good not to have in front of you every day!
I also took a favorite card that my mom gave me for my birthday one year and did the same thing:
And who got to hang all these fabulous little canvases? My adorable hubby of course!
I finished off one wall…..
…and now I’m working on the next.
