What is it about a farmer’s market? They’re so colorful, give off a relaxed vibe that makes you think you have all day to stroll and pick out veggies, and so inspiring for healthy living. We happened on one this past weekend, and it was a beautiful fall day besides. Perfect veggie browsing weather. Oh, and there were food trucks, too!
Details….
I wanted some green beans. That was all. I just wanted some fresh, direct from the farm, green beans to compliment the dinner I was making that night. So I looked up “farmers market” and happened upon this place by us.
Did you see those pretty flowers? Those awesome tomatoes? Me with my shadow in one of the pictures? Yeah, well… I never claimed to be a photographer. But you don’t have to be a farmer’s market, because the pictures just sort of take themselves.
But let’s talk about those food trucks. Hubs had a gyro:
And I couldn’t resist snapping a shot of the colorful paper and sandwich. I’m not much of a gyro girl myself, but I found this cool truck that served Korean burritos and Parmesan truffle fries.
Yes, they were as good as they looked. It was a nice afternoon for us, and we picked up some veggies on our way out. The only drawback? The bees! Ugh – bees are so annoying in the fall, going after anything and everything. I ran and screamed and waved my arms each time I heard one buzzing near my ear. I’m a dork. You knew that already.
