One thing I love about being a Christian is the idea that God chose us. Not the other way around. He chose us, loved us first, so that we could love him. This thought blows my mind a little. On those days when I feel like the world is against me (and we all have them sometimes) I go back to this simple thought and it changes my perspective.
Maybe that’s the reason I really like John 15:16:
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”
You are blessed by a God who chose you. If you think He hasn’t chosen you because your life is hard and you feel abandoned, think again. He has already chosen you. Pray to Him and invite Him in. He wants to be there. He chose you for that purpose. It’s already happened.
