A question I get a lot from writers is how they can market a book of poems. Seems that a lot of writers pen poetry, and they wonder how to publish and then market their work. After all, if you don’t market, you can’t sell. And you do want people to buy it, right?
To that end, I wrote a guest post for the Quips and Tips for Successful Writers blog on “5 Ways to Market Your Book of Poems.” The Quips and Tips blogs are done by Laurie Pawlik-Kienlen, who we interviewed here a while back. Laurie is a successful blogger and we all learn a lot from her. So check out my post, then read the rest of her fabulous blog!

Hi Cherie,
Thanks for writing this article for Quips and Tips!
I spoke at a web writing class last night, and one of the students asked me why I don’t market my ebooks. I said because I don’t LIKE to do it — I find it tedious and boring.
So, I think the best way for writers to market their books is to find things they enjoy doing. I love writing, so writing guest posts is more fun for me than, say, using LinkdIn to promote my ebooks.
Just something that occurred to me – nothing earth-shattering, though 🙂
Blessings,
Laurie

You make a great point. There are so many ways to market a book that writers need to focus on what ways work for them. Not everything works for everybody! But the good part is that there are a lot of options.
(Plus, I think writing a few really successful blogs like you do is one of the best ways to market your ebooks!)
