It’s been a busy couples of months and we’re finally enjoying some warm weather.
It’s been a month (about) since I adopted my word of year: trust.
I am so very excited about the release of my latest book, Art and Faith. It’s been a goal of mine (a dream really!) to do an art-related book. I’ve been wanting to do something more visual that tells readers more about my faith.

The holidays must have me thinking about family… our flock…. our little gathering of loved ones.
I mentioned yesterday that one of the ways I get out of a funk this time of year is to paint and meditate on God’s word.
You know how I’ve been groovin’ on the words of John these days. I never used to enjoy John because he was so cerebral and poetic. Ironic, isn’t it?
This weekend we finally tackled the mini-canvases hanging project. And by “we” I mean my husband did all the work and I stood there handing him things.
A few weeks ago at Bible study we talked about memorizing certain verses. I think this can be very helpful as you make your way in the Christian life. Choose a verse you like and commit it to memory so you can call on it when times are challenging.
I started writing for The Barn Door this month, and I’ll be there once a month for the next year. Many wonderful Christian authors write there so I was happy to join the group.
So remember that picture I painted for my poetry book cover? Well, now that I have it scanned in and ready to go for the book, I’m going to use it to play around with some mixed media stuff.
