Fall brings with it memories of school and a feeling of starting over, being given a second chance.
For this picture, I wanted to convey that feeling of sadness when your life hits an autumn phase, where you wonder why the leaves are brushed away by the winds of change, but where you also feel hopeful. There is a still small voice in the autumn of our lives, and this leads us to a new season if we’re able to be flexible enough to bend our branches so they don’t break, yet still remember the solidness of our roots, holding us in a place where we are worthy, and loved.
I created this image by using acrylics, oils, and other special papers.
