I’m reflecting on one of my favorite recent paintings, “The Wonderful Works of God.” It might seem weird that I have favorite paintings of my own, but that is the way it works sometimes. (Although, truth be told, my favorite is usually the last one I just did.)
Sometimes when I picture heaven, it is a sea of flowers, all different, all beautiful, and all there welcoming me in. This painting contains words in some of the flowers. On the bottom left it says: “wonderful works of God” and on the right it says “have a friend.”
I just love the feel of this painting so much.
