One of the biggest challenges of my entire life has been really wrapping my head around how much God loves me. And you. The fact that He gave us all free will makes this concept even more of a challenge.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I don’t feel so loveable. And sometimes, I don’t feel others are so loveable, either. And yet, God does love you. Right now. This moment. And always has.
In this world of conditional love it is hard for me to understand. My past has only made this concept harder for me to fully embrace. I am lucky that God is patient and works with me always.
He loves me. And you. And that person who you don’t understand. And that person you love. And all the rest of the people that you can’t imagine loving. He does.
This is a good thing to remember this time of year, when the subject of God gets lost in the message of our culture. He is here. He loves us.
This is an illustrated poem of mine. From the book, Poiema.
