Always Be Kind – My Instagram Roundup

The theme for this roundup is kindness, inspired by #WorldKindnessDay. I feel that kindness is the base for so many things, including how we react to things (kindness towards others and ourselves), how we go after our goals, how we treat people, how we live, and our relationships with God. It’s all related.

Since it is #WorldKindnessDay, I wanted to share this print, which contains a favorite verse of mine from Proverbs. I think as women we set the tone, in society, in our homes… we set the tone on how people will treat each other. What will be tolerated? Name calling? Bullying? Snarky jabs? We can remind our spouses and children and coworkers and friends that it should always be kindness first. Kindness in everything, not because someone “deserves” it but because of who we are as women. ____________ Kindness, another form of love. This passage is included on this artwork: “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” ~Proverbs 31:26 (ESV) ____________ In this verse, I see our instruction and our blessing. We as women as the ones who can set the tone for our homes and families, and ultimately, the world. The day after a two-day show always leaves me feeling tired but grateful. It is not easy to make a living as an artist and I am thankful for every opportunity I get that allows me to do this. I am grateful that people spend their hard-earned money on my art, and humbled that it is given as gifts or hangs up in people's homes. ____________ We are to give thanks in all circumstances, which is very difficult when things are rough. I have been through enough in life that I didn't think I would make it out of. I have been through enough that when people tell me their struggles, as so many do while they shop in my booth, I can feel their hurt and uncertainty about the world. ____________ Today, let's pray for all the people who are struggling, especially the people we don't feel like we understand. Ask God to use your life as a way to help others and thank Him for the gift of anothe day. ____________ Psalm 107:1 “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” _______________
