I’ve been working on a new coloring book, this one centered on florals. I love painting and drawing flowers. In fact, girls, flowers, and those funny little flower-faced creatures I create are some of my favorite things to doodle.
I use Sharpies for my doodles mostly and occassionally, white paint pens. I like the white pens when I’m working in a sketch book that I have used up leftover on because I like the way the white color pops against a variety of bright colors in the background. Using up leftover paint that way makes me feel good, like I have a starting point for something new and also that I’m not wasting paint. (Don’t you hate when you squirt paint on your palette and then don’t use the whole thing?)
Each page of my new coloring book is hand-drawn. Enjoy this sneak peek.
The book should be out by the end of October.
If you’re interested in creating a coloring book yourself, I recently gave some tips about how I did my last one.
