I’m from the Midwest and shrimp boils aren’t really a thing here. We grill brats and burgers, ya’ll. But a couple years ago I discovered shrimp boil packets and I’ve made these so many times now I have to mention them again. Because they are easy to do and super delish.
I make these at various times throughout the summer. You can cook them in the oven or grill them. They can be prepped ahead of time. They can be brought to parties.
Can you tell how much I love these?
And they are easy clean up. Take tin foil and spray the inside, then add shrimp, kielbasa, potatoes, some Cajun seasoning, and a dash of butter.
Place half a cob of corn on top.
Wrap up the tin foil and place on a baking sheet (if you’re doing it in the oven.)
And viola! Place the whole thing in a pretty bowl to eat. (Because all food should be in a pretty bowl. You know?)
If your group is still hungry (and even if they aren’t), here’s another quick idea for dessert. Macerated berries on top of lemon pound cake.
And put that on a pretty plate. Because, you know….
