These days, we’re looking for peace. Doesn’t the world seem crazy and unsure? I know I feel that way sometimes, and when I do this verse from John 14:27 gives me comfort. It says “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you” and talks about how God’s ways are different. His blessings are eternal and better than whatever it is we are dealing with here on earth.
This verse goes on to include the phrase “Do not let your hearts be troubled” and this also brings me comfort. God knows this world is challenging and He’s telling us he’s got us. We can rest in Him.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:27
