Ever wondered what a full-time artist does with her time? I get asked this pretty often. I think people imagine that I’m in the studio all day, every day, and I wish I was. Ironically, when you’re trying to make money from art you’re actually building a business all day, and as any entrepreneur will tell you, sometimes that means you don’t have time for the things you enjoy. Like art!
But you know me, I always find a way to fit it in.
Here’s a glimpse into a recent day. I’m always working on a few different projects at once, and this particular day I had done a quick photo shoot outside of some originals I’m adding to the shop, I finished up proofing for my new poetry book, and worked on final touches for my coloring book.
That was the morning. The Schnoodle had to get in there and supervise the photo shoot. She’s like that sometimes.
The rest of the day I did a few errands. Three stops, to be exact.
