I got some new cards in and finally put them all up in the shop. You can always find the entire collection here. These new items seemed to have a theme, all centered around prayer and positive thoughts.
I think people pray for us a lot but we don’t always know about it. I know I pray for people that have no clue I’m praying for them. Sometimes this is the way it should be. Other times, I think they would want to know, just for encouragement, that they are thought about and prayed over.
I created the painting “Be Still” as a reminder to myself, that prayer is powerful and active. Too often in the past I have felt disappointed when “all” I could do was pray for a situation when in fact that was an incredibly intentional focus of my energy. What’s more, it taps into God, who in the end is the one who either inspires or does everything. So letting someone know that they can rest in prayer is a good thing.

Another popular verse I get asked about a lot is “For I know the plans I have for you.” This verse brings comfort and encourages prayer and reflection. I used to wonder about this verse when I was younger. I had an issue where I believed God was mad at me all the time and this verse seemed to tick me off. But our God is a teaching god and he showed me that it’s true… that he doesn’t want us to fail or fall down… he is for us.
These plans he has for us may come now or on the other side of heaven. But they will come in his time and for his purpose, and when they do we will feel complete. Hope is never gone. Never.

Wedding season means people are looking for cards and prints to let their favorite happy couple know they are thinking of them. Recently I sent a print to my cousin’s daughter who is getting married next year. I wanted her to know how happy I was for her. At the craft fair last week, I got asked a lot about wedding prints and cards. Original art makes a great gift for any occasion (my personal opinion) but especially weddings where the new couple is joining households and starting their own traditions.

The “Praying for You” print received many positive and interesting comments last week at the craft fair we did. The words that spell out “beautiful prayer song” seemed to remind people that prayer benefits you and the people you pray for.

Which cards do you like sending? Which images or verses would you like to see on my cards? I enjoy hearing your thoughts.
