One of the local churches by us held a craft fair over the weekend, and I had a booth there. It was really a fun day, despite the freezing cold temps that seemed to keep most people home! They didn’t have a ton of people, but it was still a good day for me. I sold a bunch of prints to the people working at the craft and other crafters! haha And I also sold a few to some brave souls who decided to come out and see what was happening.
Even though I’ve only done a few of these so far, I learn something new each time about my booth or the types of products people like. There is always one print that seems to attract attention when I do a fair, and it’s different each time. This weekend it was this print:
It thrills me when this print gets attention because it’s a favorite in our house! My husby loves this one and I like the verse on it. My whimsical puppy also got lots of attention:
My booth was set up in front of a wall of paneling and I was able to hang one of my prints in a frame to show people what they looked like hung up.
I have this hung up in our house and I took it right off the wall to bring with us! People like knowing that the prints fit into a standard frame. I got this one at Hobby Lobby.
I also added birdcages to the decor and they really attracted attention.
You’re always trying to fill up your booth with things that represent who you are and also create a feeling for your artwork. These cages reflect my love of painting those fat little birdies and are eye-catching to people passing by.
I was able to use a cute little tablecloth that my auntie made me, which fit the Valentine’s Day theme.
Isn’t it the sweetest? My aunt is so talented.
Here’s the rest of the booth, and thanks to everyone that did brave the cold to see our stuff!
