I’ve been experimenting a lot with different styles. The more I do mixed media, the more I love it. The more I experiment, the more I stretch myself and discover new things about my art. I’m so enjoying it.
For this set of pictures, I used my love of jeans and flowers and colors to help me illustrate some favorite Bible verses.
The words “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness” and “fruit of the spirit” from Galatians 5:22, King James version. (Print available here.)
The words “Behold You Are Beautiful” from Song of Solomon 1:15. (Print available here.)
The words “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” from Luke 10:27. (Print available here.)
The words “Pray without ceasing” from 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (King James version). (Print available here.)
The words “Taste and See that the Lord is Good” from Psalm 34:8.
(Taste and See. Print available here.)
Very nice, Cherie. I like the variety you show here. I still find mixed media intimidating. Maybe if I keep stretching, I’ll get that same feeling.
You will! I was intimidated at first, too but now I find that I prefer this way of painting.
Wonderful use of denim…one of my favorite materials!!
That’s a big compliment coming from you! I love the projects you do.
