Yes. There’s more. More cool things that would be so cool if they happened. (Check out all the posts in this series.)
Let’s recap about what these cool things are. They can’t be worked for. They have to just happen. While they might start from something you did, ultimately they happen because the universe is a weird and fun place and God is good and has a sense of humor.
Now that we’ve got the vibe about this cool thing thing, here are my latest.
To Trend on Twitter
I actually can’t believe I haven’t listed this as a cool thing yet. To be a trending topic on Twitter? That would rock. I’ve been on Twitter for five or six years now, and love it. LOVE IT! So if little ole me could trend for something positive? Even better. It would have to be something positive, though. I don’t want to be trending because of something horrible. Just saying.
To Have Lunch With Neil deGrasse Tyson
So here’s something I don’t talk about very often. I love science, especially information about the universe. That’s why I think it would be cool to hang out with Neil deGrasse Tyson and ask a bunch of questions and hear him talk about space over a sandwich.
To Have My Artwork in the Background on a TV Show (Hello Housewives, I’m looking at you!)
I think it’d be cool just to have my artwork in the background on some show, and I think one of the Housewives versions would be perfect. Can’t you see my art shining in the background while Ramonja do their schtick? It’d be epic.
To Have a Celeb Suddenly Pick Up One of My Poetry Books and Love It
Since I firmly believe that the world needs more poetry, I’d be thrilled to see some celeb pick up one of my poetry books and just totally love it and talk about it everywhere. Then they could give it to Oprah, and then I’d somehow get a chance to meet Maya Angelou. (Yes, this is how my mind thinks.)
Then I’d get to show Maya Angelou this awesome video I made, which currently just hit 100 views. (I’m stylin’ I tell ya!)
)
To “Plead the Fifth” With Andy Cohen
I love watching Andy Cohen in “the clubhouse” and think it would be awesome to do his “Plead the Fifth” segment. Now, I’d have to get over my fear my television and all that, so maybe he could just do it in my house and then stay for dinner with the family later. Something like that.
For those that don’t know what Plead the Fifth is all about, you’re asked three questions, only one of which you can skip and “plead the fifth” on. The questions are ones you probably wouldn’t want to answer.
I can’t imagine what he could possibly ask me in this type of segment (being an unknown poet and writer) but it’s fun to dream. And that’s the point of “Cool Things“!
