I’m always amused at the phrases people use to find my blog. For instance, here’s a sampling of what folks have used to find my blog this week. I’ll start with my favorites:
glass sculptures (Needless to say, this search term in many variations has become the one of the most popular things people use to get this blog. That, and they search for which glue I use most. Here’s a hint: I link to it in my FAQs.)
applying your wisdom (how could I not love that search term?)
dogs partying clipart (LOL – needless to say this person wasn’t on the site for very long)
beautiful quote by maya (I hope that by Maya they mean Maya Angelou, and I hope they found it here. I wonder if it was this one perhaps.)
dr who toile fabric (This has become a popular search term for my blog. No wonder my Dr. Who chair makeover post is one of my top-ten.)
emerson forgiveness (Usually they’re looking for this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson.)
football scrapbooking (Other people like to scrapbook about football? Awesome.)
homemade coasters (Apparently a lot of folks like to make their own coasters because this search term, which usually heads to this post, is one of my top ten.)
handmade book ideas (I love the fact that people are searching for ways to make something totally original for a friend or family member. A lot of times they wind up at this post.)
pretty girl poetry (I can’t tell you how much I love this search term, if only for the fact that I hope the people that use it are trying to express the beauty of a girl in their life, no matter how old she is.)
princesses (Some people search for “real princesses” and some use a related term like “2013 princesses.” I’m guessing that they’re looking for women considered princesses, but they often make a stop at this post and stay there for a good amount of time, so I hope they enjoy my pictures and poem while they’re here.)
Naturally, variations on my name are popular for finding my blog. Go figure! Here are a few search strings that made me laugh:
cherie burbach paper crafts old books (I wonder if someone heard me say that I use old books for mixed media pictures and they decided to see ones I used?)
cherie burbach blogger (I’m proud to be called a blogger, folks! Blogging has been good to me.)
who is cherie burbach (This one makes me laugh.)
cherie burbach artsy (I assume their looking for the artsy blogging links, but if they’re calling me artsy, that’s okay, too!)
cheri burbach (The most common misspelling of my name.)
cherie writer burbach (This has showed up several times, and it really makes me giggle. Writer is my middle name, after all!)
