There is a favorite quote of mine from the Bible, that refers to a lot of aspects of life and faith.
“We walk by faith, not by sight.”
~ 2 Corinthians 5:7
So often in life, I find that I don’t understand things. I don’t know why I didn’t get a certain writing job, why my friend is treating me poorly, or why a family member is completely lying about me. Why? I get caught up in the why of it at times. In times when I’m feeling confused, I also wonder what I should do now. Where should I go? How should I proceed? The fact is that there are times when the future is so uncertain in both your professional and personal lives that you don’t know where to turn.
That’s when you step back, let it all go. It’s quite a leap. It’s in those circumstances that you really want to make a change. Do something. Letting go can seem counter-intuitive, but then again sometimes faith is that way.
I’ve learned that when I step back and let God makes sense of things, I get an outcome I could have never imagined. That’s why it’s pointless to worry, or to plan too deeply about every aspect of your life. Sometimes God has to shake things up to make room for the great things He’s trying to give you, but your hands are just too full right now to accept them.
