As a writer, the best thing in the world is when someone reads your work and connects with it. This could include book reviews, letters to you, or mentions on a blog. Connecting with a reader means more than a heavy paycheck and fame. (Not that those things aren’t nice too.)
Still, when you get one of those “wow – they really understood where I was coming from” moments from a reader, it’s a special feeling. I received a review recently for my diabetes-related book, 21 Simple Things You Can Do To Help Someone With Diabetes, and have to say it really made my day.

This reviewer “got” what this book was about, and I’m thrilled. It is always your hope that a review will connect with someone looking for the exact kind of writing that you put out there.
