“Comin Thro’ the Rye” by Robert Burns never ceases to remind me of Catcher in the Rye. In fact, I never thought about the poem much before I read that book. Funny how that happens sometimes.
I’m a big fan of Emily Dicksinson’s poetry, and this happens to be one of my favorites. There is something very sweet and sad about the poem, and then there’s the amazing meter that makes you think that she might be lonely but she’s trying to make the best of it.
